River over a river

If you are not a Physics person, read the last paragraph and learn a fact of physics.

Have you ever seen a river over a river? AMAZING.....

Even after you see it, it is still hard to believe!
Water bridge in Germany . What a feat! The photo was taken on the day of inauguration . . .

To those who appreciate engineering projects, here's a puzzle for your armchair engineers and physicists.
Question
Did that bridge have to be designed to withstand the additional weight of ship and barge traffic, or just the weight of the water?
Answer
It only needs to be designed to withstand the weight of the water!
Why?
A ship always displaces an amount of water that weighs the same as the ship, regardless of how heavily a ship may be loaded. Six years, 500 million Euros, 918 meters long . . . now, this is engineering!

This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany ,
as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg , near Berlin .

The Incredible Magdeburg Water Bridge in Germany The Magdeburg Water Bridge is a navigable aqueduct in Germany that connects the Elbe-Havel Canal to the Mittelland Canal, and allows ships to cross over the Elbe River; at 918 meters, it is the longest navigable aqueduct in the world.
The Elbe-Havel and Mittelland canals had previously met near Magdeburg but on opposite sides of the Elbe . Ships moving between the two had to make a 12-kilometer detour, descending from the Mittelland Canal through the Rothensee boat lift into the Elbe, then sailing downstream on the river, before entering the Elbe-Havel Canal through Niegripp lock. Low water levels in the Elbe often prevented fully laden canal barges from making this crossing, requiring time-consuming off-loading of cargo.

Construction of the water link was started as early as in the 1930s but due to World War-2 and the subsequent division of Germany , the work remained suspended till 1997. The aqueduct was finally completed and opened to the public in 2003.

اور کوئی ایک کی ورڈ لے کر اس کے مطابق مواد اپنی ویب سائٹ میں شامل کریں اور اگر آپ اپنی ڈومین اور ہوسٹنگ نہیں لینا چاہتے تو بھی کوئی مسئلہ نہیں ہے انٹرنیٹ پر اس وقت بہت سی ایسی ویب سائٹس ہیں جو فری میں ڈومین نیم اور ہوسٹنگ مہیا کررہی ہیں ۔ آپ کسی بھی فری والی سائٹ سے ڈومین اور ہوسٹنگ لیں اور وہاں اپنی ویب سائٹ کو اپ لوڈ کروا دیں۔اگر آپ کو ویب سائٹ نہیں بنانی آتی تو بھی آپ گوگل ایڈسینس سے کمائی کرسکتے ہیں۔ انٹرنیٹ پہ اس وقت ہزاروں لوگ بلاگنگ کے ذریعے کمائی کر رہے ہیں اور اس وقت کئی ایسی ویب سائٹس ہیں جو آپ کو مفت میں بلاگ بنانے کی سہولت مہیا کررہی ہیں جن میں سے مشہور بلاگ سپاٹ، ورڈپریس ہیں اس کے علاوہ ایک پاکستانی ویب سائٹ بھی ہے جس پر آپ چند سیکنڈز میں اپنا مفت بلاگ حاصل کرسکتے ہیں۔اور بلاگ بنانے کا طریقہ آپ کو گوگل پہ سرچ کرنے سے آسانی سے مل جائے گا۔

۲۔ اب آتے ہیں دوسرے سٹیپ کی طرف سب سے پہلے تو آپ نے اپنی ایک عدد ویب سائٹ تیار کرلیں یا کسی فری سائٹ پہ اپنا بلاگ تیار کرلیا۔اب مرحلہ آئے گا کہ اس ویب سائٹ یا بلاگ میں کس قسم کا مواد رکھا جائے تو اس سلسلہ میں گزارش کروں گا کہ کوئی ایک موضوع یعنی کی ورڈ لے لیں اور اس کے مطابق مواد اپنی ویب سائٹ یا بلاگ میں شامل کرتے جائیں اور ایک اور اہم بات ذہن میں رکھ لیں کہ آپ جو بھی مواد اپنی ویب سائٹ یا بلاگ میں شامل کریں اور انگلش میں ہونا چاہئیے کیونکہ گوگل اردو زبان میں موجود ویب سائٹس کو گوگل ایڈسینس کے لئے منظور نہیں کرتا۔اگر تو آپ بلاگ کے ذریعے سے گوگل ایڈسینس کے اکاﺅنٹ کے لئے اپلائی کرنے جارہے ہیں تو اس کے لئے آپ کے بلاگ میں کم از کم دس سے پندرہ پوسٹس موجود ہوں اور آپ کا بلاگ 90دن پرانا ہونا چاہیے۔ گوگل ایڈسینس کے اکاﺅنٹ کے اپلائی کرنے کے تقریباً ایک ماہ بعد آپ کو گوگل ایڈسینس کا اکاﺅنٹ مل جائے گا اور اگر آپ نے اپنا بلاگ ، بلاگ اسپاٹ پہ بنایا ہوا ہے تو اس کے ذریعہ اپلائی کرنے سے آپ کو ایڈسینس کا اکاﺅنٹ جلدی مل جائے گا۔

۳۔ تیسری اور اہم بات یہ ہے کہ آپ کی ویب سائٹ یا بلاگ گوگل سرچ انڈکس میں شامل ہو یعنی اگر کوئی گوگل پر سرچ کرے تو آپ کی ویب سائٹ بھی سرچ رزلٹس میں شامل ہو اگر تو آپ نے بلاگ بنایا ہوا ہے تو پریشانی کی بات نہیں ہے کیونکہ گوگل بلاگز کو خود ہی انڈکس کرلیتا ہے اس کے علاوہ ڈاٹ کام، ڈاٹ نیٹ یا دوسری ٹاپ لیول ڈومین نیمز کو بھی گوگل خود بخود اپنے انڈکس میں شامل کرلیتا ہے۔ لیکن اگر آپ نے اپنی ویب سائٹ کسی مفت کی ہوسٹنگ سرور پہ بنائی ہوئی ہے تو اس کے لئے آپ کو خود اپنی سائٹ کو گوگل میں شامل کروانا ہوگا جس کا طریقہ کار یہ ہے کہ آپ http://www.google.com/addurlپہ جاکر اپنی ویب سائٹ کے مطابق ایک چھوٹا سا فارم فل کر کے گوگل کو ارسال کردیں تو کچھ ہی دنوں میں آپ کی ویب سائٹ گوگل انڈکس میں شامل ہوجائے گی اس کے علاوہ آپ انٹرنیٹ پہ موجود مختلف فورمز پہ رجسٹر ہوں اور وہاں پہ اپنی ویب سائٹ کا تعارف کروائیں اور اپنے سگنیچرز میں بھی اپنی ویب سائٹ کا ایڈریس شامل کرلیں اس سے بھی گوگل کچھ ہی دنوں میں آپ کی ویب سائٹ کو اپنے انڈکس میں شامل کرلے گا۔
